Aerobics vs. Anaerobic

People sometimes confuse aerobic and anaerobic exercise. They both sound similar and involve some level of cardio, but how are they different? While both types of exercise involve full-body movement and raise your heart rate, it's helpful to know the difference based on your physical abilities, fitness goals, and personal exercise preferences. :

Aerobic exercise is an activity that you can do for a long time. If you are breathing heavily, you will still struggle and have trouble completing a full conversation, but it is possible to do this cardio activity for a while. You can try some of the aerobic exercise examples above to improve your stamina and get your heart pumping. Anaerobic exercise is very different from aerobic exercise.

Anaerobic exercise involves high-intensity exercise, such as weightlifting or sprinting, for short periods of time. You'll be pushing yourself to the limit with each exercise you complete, but you'll be doing these anaerobic exercises in short intervals. Anaerobic exercises are meant to be challenging and you can't do them for long periods of time. Both exercises differ in the type of exercise you do and the amount of time you can do them. Another noticeable difference is the amount of oxygen used in each exercise.

Anaerobic means “without oxygen” which describes how your body and muscles require more oxygen during these workouts due to their intensity. Therefore, anaerobic exercise cannot be sustained for a long time. Only short intervals are possible to ensure that your body can handle the entire exercise without strain.

Anaerobic exercise has benefits such as:

1-You will save time on the exercise because it is fast.

2-This type of exercise helps in fat loss.

3-Anaerobic exercise can help increase your metabolism and build muscle.

Compared to other types of exercise, you burn more calories in less time. Although this is a great type of exercise, it is not for everyone. Since anaerobic exercises can be intense, it is best for beginners to work on their fitness before attempting these exercises. It is better to exercise safely when your body is ready than to push yourself and potentially hurt your body. Aerobic and anaerobic are useful forms of exercise and together create a beneficial health routine.
